Who is this Dr. Ruzicka && What is Q&E?
Updated: Mar 24, 2019
Dr. Amy Ruzicka completed her undergraduate studies at Towson University and later received her doctorate from the University of the Incarnate Word Rosenberg School of Optometry. As a student, she served as a leader of the student government, student optometric association, sports vision club and a few more. Her grit to learn continued after graduation. She completed a residency in Ocular Disease at the Cincinnati Veterans' Affairs Hospital and a Women in Leadership certificate program from eCornell University.
In addition to academics, Dr. Ruzicka has a passion for giving back. She attends multiple local mission trips in Texas including health fairs, homeless shelters, and school vision screenings. This humanitarianism spread internationally in Guatemala and El Salvador. Dr. Ruzicka is married and has two fur babies. Her primary life goal is to share her experiences, educate the public, and provide a transparent, honest healthcare site to the modern family.
What is the "modern family"? Dr. Ruzicka defines the modern family as hard-working individuals. These humans at times have simple healthcare concerns about themselves or their loved ones. Though it can be hard to know what the right answer is when you go to your dear old internet search engine friend. This is where the Q&E podcast and blog will be to give you concise, honest, straight forward answers to your daily questions. We will talk about life stuff, work, school loans, and life as women. We will address anything from eye stuff to suicide to anxiety to rashes, you name it. And who knows? Maybe we can take care of you too...but more on that telehealth care later. Let's focus on now. Let's focus on you.
